The Acumen Group Negotiation program helps individuals more confidently and successfully negotiate deals, while maintaining long-term positive client relationships. The session helps executives learn the value of negotiating as a client relationship builder, in the context of improving their ability to secure positions.

Program Outcomes

As a result of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Apply a strategic approach when planning and preparing for negotiations.
  • Understand the negotiation process in order to have more control and influence over the outcomes.
  • Negotiate multiple issues simultaneously.
  • Achieve desired outcomes while protecting the long-term relationship.
  • Understand positions of strengths and weaknesses compared to that of other negotiating parties – allowing for a more thorough and effectively planned approach.
  • Recognize and handle common negotiating tactics.
  • Have an improved ability to handle tension and conflict.
  • Use face-to-face communication skills to influence the mood and tone of the negotiation, which inevitably affects the outcome.


Programs are typically two days in duration for up to ten participants. All programs are tailored to meet the needs and objectives of our clients.
